Mr Joe Tierney

Joe is a lecturer in the Department of Hospitality Tourism and Leisure at Technological University of the Shannon: Midlands Midwest. Joe is also a PhD candidate at TU Dublin. With a background and qualifications in leisure management and sports science, Joe has a keen interest in inclusive and lifelong engagement in physical activity. As a keen outdoor adventure enthusiast, Joe recognises and has personal experience of the benefits of outdoor, leisure based physical activity. Research interests include the potential of leisure based adventure activities and their impact on active ageing and quality of life.
